CSU student singers advance to national singing competition

A large group of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPP Southern ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵAPPparticipated in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Mid-Atlantic Region Conference and Student Auditions in Februaary, and several have advanced to the NATS National Student Auditions competition.

The NATS National Student Auditions begin with a preliminary YouTube round. Students will submit videos to be adjudicated, and then the semifinalists will compete at the NATS National Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee, beginning June 28. 

Mid-Atlantic Region NATS Students Advancing to National Competition

First Year Classical Treble National Student Auditions Qualifier (NSA)

Katherine Kailey, soprano, won second place (Music Therapy, student of Dr. Jill Terhaar Lewis)

First Year Musical Theatre Treble National Student Auditions Qualifier (NSA)

Lindy Turner, soprano, tied for third place (Music and Worship Leadership, student of Dr. Jennifer Luiken) 

First Year Commercial Music TBB National Student Auditions Qualifier (NSA)

Luke Bauer, tenor, won first place (Music and Worship Leadership, student of Terhaar Lewis) 

Second Year Classical TBB

Luke Jones, tenor, won third place (nondegree seeking, student of Luiken) 

Fourth/Fifth Year Classical Treble National Student Auditions Qualifier (NSA)

Iris Salvador, soprano, won first place (Music Therapy, student of Luiken) 

Annalisa Blevins, soprano, tied for second place (Music Performance, student of Mr. Ricard Bordas)
